Father's Day Tie

Cassidy made me a pretty "cool" tie for father's day this year...and she really wanted me to wear it to church. She was pretty excited when I actually did.

Camping in Northern AZ

We went camping up in Northern Arizona this weekend with the Bates family. Everyone was able to be there except Jared & Julie (Jared was at Scout camp). Cory (my brother in law) planned the whole thing - and it was sweet. The food was great, and the kids had a great time making smores by the fire (and playing with the fire in general).

This year the girls decided they wanted to be on the swim team. I was amazed at how fast they are able to make it across that pool, and all the different strokes with which they can do it.

I can swim well enough to keep myself from drowning, but if you asked me to do a butterfly stroke, or a backstroke, or a breast-stroke (my personal favorite) - I wouldn't be able to make it from one side of the pool to the other. The girls did awesome, and it was fun watching them compete over the course of the summer.
